Andrew Beere, Human Resources Manager, Pioneer Products

We were recently faced with the lack of a well trained workforce while trying to keep up with our customer orders.  We turned to the Workforce Development Center for help recruiting over 30 CNC operators, set up people and maintenance technicians.  The Center offered Business Services Professionals, Center leaders and other community partners to meet with our management staff to discuss ideas to help us with recruiting qualified workers as well as suggesting financial incentives that were available to help us off set the costs associated with training these individuals.

We were successful in obtaining the skilled workforce that we so desperately needed because the Workforce Development Center provided a pool of job ready candidates with the skill sets we needed for us to choose from.  We find great value in the programs offered by the Center particularly with the boot camps that teach low skilled workers the skills they need to become productive employees.

We will certainly be able to remain competitive in this global marketplace with the help of the Workforce Development Center.  We have had a long standing relationship with the staff there and will continue to do so for all of our future employment needs.
