Shaping Racine's Workforce of Tomorrow...Today  - Tuesday, January 24, 2012

Did you know that the students at Mitchell Middle School are working in CAD Programming?  Or that the students at Burlington High School are learning anatomy and physiology from staff at Aurora Health Care?  As employment needs and forecasts of workforce shortages increase for Racine County employers, our business community is looking for more ways to connect with the next generation of our workforce before they enter the workforce. Career Connect will be a tool to help bridge the gap between the business community and Racine County students while they are developing the skills they will carry into their careers. For more information on how your business can utilize Career Connect, please contact John Siegert at John.Siegert@goracine.org

Creating artwork for the Racine County Workforce Development Center featuring...your business!  - Thursday, September 01, 2011

The Business Services team is working on an initiative for the Racine County Workforce Development Center of creating artwork to decorate the walls of the Center featuring our local business organizations. This artwork will be put into a 16 x 20 format (click for sample) and frame to adorn the walls of our public meeting rooms, hallways, classrooms, and other spaces in the Center. We are offering this promotional opportunity to the Racine County business community at no-cost. All we require is that the business or organization provides us with the digital photos for us to use to create the artwork, approximately 10 to 12 photos, including their Company Logo/Name. We hope that as part of our business community you will consider sharing the vision and image of your organization with the Racine community. If you are interested, please send your .jpeg or .jpg images to len.maki@goracine.org or connect with him at 262-638-6639 to answer any questions.
